Jesus was born in Bethlehem. He grew up in Nazareth and was a carpenter. He was baptized at age 30 and he began teaching the word of God. He preached against the Romans that there was only one god and was in the process of bringing back Christianity. The emperor did not want that to happen. He was scared that he would turn against the Romans and attack, so he crucified him. He was crucified by the Roman govener Pontius Pilate. Christians thought that he was a Messiah. Many people wept as he died. Three days later, he rose again. We called this "Easter."
